A 2-hour initial training of Volunteer Visitors will be held the evenings of April 29 and May 12 in Roseau. The training is required before becoming a part of Zion's Volunteer Visitation Ministry. More individuals are welcome and needed to assist with meeting the visitation needs of our congregation. Please prayerfully consider becoming a part of this very rewarding ministry. Please contact Jeanne Laugtug, Parish Nurse, with questions and for more information about the training.
The Council members will meet with the 9th grade confirmation students on Wednesday, April 30 at 6:00 PM.
Calling all Youth! Spring cleaning time has come. We will be cleaning the Youth room, the 3 Sunday School rooms, and the blue chairs in the overflow section on Wednesday, April 30 starting at 5:00 PM and going until 6:30 PM. The more help the better! Parents are welcome to join us. There will be a sign up sheet on the Youth bulletin board.
Prayer Threads/KnitWits meet Sunday afternoons from 1-4 at the Public Library. All are welcome to come and join in.
Church Council meets Sunday, May 4 at 7:00 PM. Council members may pick up their packets on the bulletin board outside the church office.
Holy Communion Sunday scheduling note: In the month of May, communion will be offered on May 4 at 9:00 AM and May 11 at both the 7:45 and 9:00 AM services. Holy communion will not be celebrated on May 18. The Wednesday schedule for communion remains unchanged (1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month).
An Acolyte training session for 4th, 5th, and 6th graders is scheduled on Sunday, May 4 after the 9:00 worship service.
Two gray plastic bus tubs are missing from the kitchen. If you have them or know where they are located, would you please return them to the kitchen as soon as possible?
Mission quilts and kits update: Kits (midwife, school, and health kits) and quilts for Lutheran World Relief may be dropped off by Wednesday, April 30 to be shipped this spring. You may leave these items in the banner/parament room (last room on the right in the north wing of the church).
A clipboard sign-up sheet is available for you to volunteer to be an usher/greeter! When you sign up to volunteer for this important ministry, please take home with you one of the attached letters with the list of responsibilities from the clipboard.
The Deborah Circle will meet at Jan Fossum’s in May (note change of HOSTESS).
The Rebecca Circle will meet at 5:00 PM on May 8 at the Warroad Elementary Library (note DATE, TIME and LOCATION change). The hostess is Janet Olson and the Bible study will be led by Cindy Sandahl.
Bible Camp Here is a list of dates for Zion youth to attend Pathways Bible Camp. This will hopefully make it easier to share rides to and from camp. If you need specific camp information you can find it on the hall bulletin board along with Women of Zion campership sheets.
